The State Communication Centre, Is Recruiting Volunteers

Be part of an exciting, modern essential emergency service and join us in our mission to help save lives on the water.

  • If you are over 16 and have the enthusiasm to commit to a dedicated team, we need you.
  • We operate an around-the-clock communications base. Our professionally trained Radio Operators monitor the marine radio network to respond to boating emergencies and help keep boaters safe on Sydney waters and along the NSW coastline.
  • Our professional training will provide you with nationally recognised qualifications as a Marine Radio Operator, no previous experience required. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them a wide range of experience and skills. They provide support in all areas of our operations including Marketing, Administration, Community Engagement and Training.
  • You’re bound to find a role to suit you.
